A little note: Today's warfare is based on ancient tactics and ancient weapons. The ancients did possess hand grenades and an equivalent of napalm. Do you think Kevlar is new? You better check it out. What about pyramids and alchemy? Leonardo saw the flying machine long before Orville and Wilbur. Shelley saw electricity bring man to life and she wrote a story about it.
