A Cash Free Society

Maybe some of you see it coming and maybe some of you don’t, however, that is what it is boiling down to.  What better way to truly control and monitor the people?  Think about it.

Credit Cards: You pretty much need one if you want a room in a hotel or motel, rent a car or U-Haul.  In MOST cases, cash is not accepted.  Imagine...cash is NOT good.

Bank Cards: Most people have one and it is used to make purchases of all kinds or to withdraw cash.  Note that you are limited on the amount of cash you can withdraw each day.  It is your money, but you don’t have full right to it unless you go to the bank.

A credit card and bank card (ATM/Debit) monitor your spending such as what is being bought (you sign the bill), when it is bought, how much you are spending.

Pretty much, those cards monitor your activities.

When you use cash, it can’t be monitored.  Only you will know what you buy, how much you spent, and where you spent it.  Well there are those pesky cameras that watch your every move and record your activities.  However, unless you are “wanted” you will just be another face in the crowd.  With cash, a run on a bank could occur.  Without cash, there can never be a run on the bank.  A run on a bank is when everyone goes to withdraw their money at the same time.  There is a problem with that scenario as the bank does not have everyone’s money.  They lend it and therefore it is not available.  Imagine the hysteria that will ensue?

In a virtual setting, there is no money for you to run on.  Imagine getting your paycheck virtually?  Maybe some of you already have direct deposit so those greenbacks are not in your hand even in check form.

Let’s suppose that a dictatorship is in the making.  Could it be that we slaves of the system would be even more indebted to the system?  They would truly have the ability to make or break you in the manner they see fit.

Also, what if there were computer/electrical malfunctions and you could not access your virtual money via card?  It wouldn’t be like you could dig into your wallet and pull out some bucks or break open your piggy bank.  Your paper and coin would be as useless as post civil war CONFEDERATE

Destroying or removing one’s self from the system would be a far greater thing.  It is called self reliance.  How about if we started planting and growing our own food, what if we kept livestock and fowl, how about bartering for that which we do not have?  One man’s work or goods is as good as another’s.

These are some my thoughts.  Although I think about it on a more complex level, I am really not in the mood to write novella.  ~ Maggie ~ June 7, 2007 @ 5:45 PM
