Under The Shades

Who knows for sure what lurks neath the exterior of one's being.  We may fear and our knees may be knocking, but defiantly we go forward brave and true to ourselves. Why? Because we dare to be brave and express ourselves at the moment. I question why people, as a general rule, can't be open with others and state exactly how they feel even at the risk of getting their face or heart smashed. The truly brave ones are the ones who have the most fear within and are the ones who come forward first. The cowards are the ones who appear brave and exude bravado to mask their fear. To those who hide, I offer you my shades so that you may cover the windows of your soul. ~ Maggie ~ June 3, 2007 @ 10:46 p.m.
