DIVISIONS:

We are all members of the human race
And shouldn't look at color to judge a face
When we bleed, we bleed the same
Divisions come by giving names
Are you black, white, red, or yellow?
Aren't we all of the same fellow?
If we were all literally blind
Perhaps we would judge based on mind
Liking a person for who they are
And not what is VIEWED would ban the bar
The elderly are OLD, but have much to give
In the stories they tell of the life they have lived
Yet more oft than not, they are cast aside
As who has time for the old if not wise?
What if our brother or sister were gay?
Would we throw our relationship away?
Really we are not all so different from them
As one loves women and the other men
If looked at real close, we are all the same
Unfortunately, most of us are not humane ~ Maggie 4/3/07 @ 4:54 p.m.
Can prejudice be put aside in any sense of the word? Does everything have to be superficial and conformed? Political correctness does not equate with equality on any level.
